Journalist and News Anchor

Duties:

• Research local community, state, national and international current events
• Interview guests and other members involved in particular stories
• Collect, verify, and analyze thoroughly newsworthy information
• Assemble findings into a stable story for social media audiences
• Write and deliver news stories with the social media audience’s perspective
• Publish or broadcast news stories on social media platforms
• Cooperate with reporters, chief editor, producers etc
• Stay up-to-date with the latest current events in the “beat” by studying papers, attending events etc.

Job Requirement:                       

Qualification:

Education: 

• B.Sc degree in journalism, communications or a relevant fields.

Experience:

• Proven work experience as a news anchor and reporter.

Skills:

• Understanding of the digital media
• Good experience and knowledge of social media
• Broad knowledge of local, national and international affairs (e.g. political, economic, legislative and cultural)
• Excellent verbal skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Active social media presence.
