Head of English Programmes

Duties:

• The post holder will lead the English Programmes (EP) portfolio of contracts and programmes in-country, providing technical sector expertise.
• They will oversee business development and quality, compliant delivery of programmes and contracts to improve standards of the teaching, learning, and assessment of English.
• The successful candidate will share knowledge, expertise, and best practice from the country with the regional and global English Programmes teams and externally.

Job Requirement:                       

Qualification:

Education: 

• TEFL-Q: a diploma level qualification in teaching English as a foreign/second language that meets accreditation UK requirements.

Experience:

• Experience in managing teacher education projects.
• Experience in delivering externally funded projects or programmes
• Experience in overseeing monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) within projects and incorporating lessons learned from MEL into programmes and strategy
• Experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders including multilateral agencies, donors, government officials, academics.

Skills:

• Able to lead on strategy and process development for innovative English/ education solutions
• Able to lead the development and implementation of quality standards for English/ Education
• Able to lead on strategy and commissioning of global thought leadership outputs, such as publications.
• Able to lead relationships with the UK sector.
