Private Sector Development Advisor

Duties:

Provide high-quality technical and policy advice on economic, financial and private sector development issues to the CETI team, other teams across the British Embassy and FCDO headquarters.
Lead British Embassy economic development programming in areas such as financial sector reform, delivering real impact on priority development areas.
Support regular economic reporting to the British Embassy and teams in FCDO HQ.
Take an active role in supporting the development of strategy and programmes within the Climate, Economy, Trade and Investment Team, working closely with British International Investment and the wider Embassy.
Develop and utilize strong networks with the CETI team, across Embassy teams and the wider FCDO network to support UK objectives in Ethiopia.
Develop and utilize strong networks within the Government of Ethiopia, the private sector and other development partners to build effective partnerships for development, and to influence their activities in support of UK objectives.
Actively contribute to creating a positive, and inclusive working environment at the British Embassy that values and respects the skills, experiences and backgrounds of all our staff.

At least 3 years of experience working on economic and/or private sector development issues in Ethiopia.
Experience working in an international organization.
Experience in managing economic development programs.
